My face Benjamin Malz - The Illusion Project

The Ponzo Illusion

Alright, buddy. Before we get started, feel free to put your name up top if you want to pretend that the website knows you personally. Buddy, now that we've gotten that out of the way, let's talk about the Ponzo Illusion. You see, buddy, the human brain is stupid. When it sees an object with a background, it assumes the size of that object based on the background. That's right, buddy, your brain isn't as great as you think it is. So what the Ponzo Illusion does is place two of the same sized rectangle on a railroad-looking background. That background makes it look like the top rectangle is larger than the bottom. So scroll down a bit, buddy, and see what I'm talking about. Press the "Prove it" button to see proof they're the same size, and "Reset" to get rid of the proof.
